The list below shows the provisional dates and times for the 2025 NCHT programme. Once all the details are confirmed, a new notice will appear here with the definitive list.


Provisional list for the 2025 NCHT events


January – No talk held


February – Tuesday 4th February at 2.30pm Maureen Street on ‘The Great Awakening in Craven – Rev Benjamin Ingham and the Inghamites’. Venue: the Quaker Meeting House.


March – Friday 14th March at 2.30pm Keith Berrington on ‘Craven in the Ice Age’. Venue: Long Preston Village Hall.


April – Tuesday 15th April at 7.30pm John Asher on ‘Renovating a Grade 2* listed building’. Venue: the Quaker Meeting House, Settle.


May – Thursday 15th May at 7.30pm Michael Pearson on ‘The Ecology of Dry Stone Walls’. Venue: Austwick Village Hall.


June – Wednesday 4th June. 10.00am or 14.00pm. Andrew Jarman of Ingleborough Estate to arrange a walk/talk on ‘Reginald Farrer – Rhododendrons of Ingleborough’, with a possible cave walk extension.

September – Tuesday 9th September at 7.30pm: ‘Underground and Overground – the archaeological caves and landscapes of Ingleborough Common’ by Rick Peterson. Venue: the Rathmell Reading Room.


October – Monday 6th October at 7pm. John Hartshorn speaking about ‘Rewilding’. Venue: Settle Quaker Meeting House.


November – Tuesday 18th at 2.30. Martin Lunn on ‘The Great Northern Eclipse’. Venue: Long Preston Village Hall.
